I'd like to dedicate this newsletter to all who served and are serving our country! Thank you for your dedication and sacrifice!
Many thanks to those who were able to attend Open House. It was a joy to see the 2nd graders proudly share their learning with you. Also, I'd like to send best wishes to Saanvi and her family as they move to Texas this weekend! We will miss you! Happiest hopes as you begin this new chapter in your family life!
We have begun our end of the year assessments. Students took a Math assessment and I am half way through one-on-one testing students on their reading fluency and comprehension. I plan to administer the writing test this week. We will continue poetry, ecosystems, states of matter, and writing and math workshops to close out the year.
We shared our open house work with our big buddies and our little buddies. We also attended the Sacramento Performing Arts musical, "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" in our auditorium. It was quite entertaining and enjoyable! The second graders did a great job being a respectful and engaged audience!
