We had another great week in 2nd grade! This crew is coming along!
Welcome to Lusia and her family!
Lusia joined our class on Monday and has already adjusted so well to Westlake and our community. Thanks to her kind classmates who made her transition so smooth!
A Moment of Gratitude:
Thank you to Mykah's family for the wipes and tissues! Much appreciated!
Parent Homework:
Thank you to those who have emailed me a letter detailing how your child learns best and any additional helpful info to know as his/her teacher. If you haven't gotten a chance to do so, it's not too late! My email: [email protected]
I have another assignment for you! Please send in an unframed 4" x 6" family photo. I would like to post it under our Hopes and Dreams board to symbolize family support of our goals in 2nd grade! These will be returned to you at the end of our school year. Thank you!
Curriculum Highlights:

2nd Grade Quote of the Week:
It is Morning Meeting and we are playing "Hot Seat" and Sofia is on the "Hot Seat." Everyone is taking turns asking her questions. "What is your favorite color?" "What is your favorite food?" etc. Someone asks, "What is your favorite place?" Sofia thinks for a second and says, "Right here!"
That's all for now! Have a great week and hope to see you Wednesday!
