It's been a busy week as we approach Open House, Assessments, wrapping up the school year, and moving to our new campus! Busy, busy!
In case you are wondering, we did not get a chance to write in our Friday journals yesterday--look out for them next week! Also, in your child's blue folder, you should have received a hard copy of the 100% Words for Writing. Students will be tested on these words on June 2nd and they are posted to practice in 3 parts on Spelling City. Remember to keep practicing math facts; looking to re-test for growth in the next couple weeks as well.
Curriculum Highlights: We wrote our final letter to our Pen Pals from Mrs. Boone's class. We finished up our research travel unit projects and are excited to showcase them at Open House! We learned about, wrote, and published our haiku and acrostic poems. We are finishing up our data and graph unit in Math and have started our time and measurement unit. We are enjoying Roald Dahl's "The Twits." We had some buddy time with our 4th grade Big Buddies who consulted with us on our math, research, and catch up work in preparation for Open House.
Open House this Wednesday from 6:00 pm--7:00 pm:
Hope you can join us in our classroom in celebrating a world of 2nd grade learning! Remember to check out Art, Spanish, and PE classes, too!

The end of the year is near and that means Field Day! Field Day will be held on Wednesday, June 14th from 9:30 to 11:20. To help us celebrate all of our students' hard work, we will need your help. Please view this Google form to see how you can help. Note: Dismissal on the last day of school will be 12:00 pm for all students on the Del Paso Campus.
Monday, May 29th--no school
That's all for now! Have a great weekend and week!
