I hope you all had a great 3 day weekend and for those who celebrate Easter--hope it was wonderful! It was a busy weekend of cleaning, shopping, cooking, baking, decorating, hosting, and back to cleaning for me! Wish I had my 2nd grade cleaning crew!!
I am so proud of the stamina, perseverance, and growth mindset our 2nd graders showed in getting through our last round of NWEA tests! It was tough going for some, but we made it! It's hard to believe 3rd grade is just around the corner!
Many thanks to Elliot's mom who spent Cesar Chavez Day in our flex space prepping maps and charts for all 5 of our 2nd grade classes! So grateful for your time and artistry in helping us launch our upcoming unit on Biodiversity.
We will be field tripping to the new B St. Theatre on April 25th to see C.S. Lewis' "The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe." Please complete and return the purple field trip permission slip that went home in Friday's blue folder by Friday, April 13th (right before break!). Available finger-printed chaperones may express their interest via email. Also, please email me ASAP if you would like me to order a cafeteria sack lunch for your student so that I can put that order in. Many thanks to Ms. Prokop for organizing this exciting trip!
