Joyful Learning was in the air on Wednesday as our 2nd graders enlightened many Living Museum patrons with their knowledge of People Who Made A Difference in our World! I am so proud of all their hard work and teamwork! Thank you for costuming your child and your support, too!

Class Party on Wednesday, February 14th (Valentine's Day)
We earned a class party! Students voted and we will be having a Popsicle/Free Choice Chromebook/Art/Game Party with an optional valentine exchange! Hoping to squeeze a quiet reading rotation in the mix, too! Tee hee!
Optional Valentine Exchange
We will be having an optional valentine/friendship card exchange on Wednesday. We have 22 students in our class. Click here for a class list. (You can also deliver them unaddressed). If you have extra valentines, Mrs. Real, our 2nd grade Instructional Aide, would be brightened by them, especially since her birthday is the day after!

Curriculum Highlights:
Our Living Museum was the main attraction this week, but we also enjoyed a visit from Frau Barbara, a friend of Ms. Dorothy (Scarlet's grandma), who taught us some German words and answered our inquisitive questions about Germany and its culture.
In Math, we are wrapping up our triple digit subtraction with and without regrouping work in Math and began our unit on Money. Look for Volume 1 Math workbooks trickling home in the next few days.
