It has been a busy week of taking Trimester 2 Math and Writing Assessments, celebrating Dr. Seuss's Birthday/Read Across America Day, and attending 2nd Grade's Safe Bodies/Safe Words Assembly amidst some very wacky weather! I am proud of how all persevered through the math and writing tests--they were quite challenging and required good focus and stamina! Your student will be sharing these, among other work, at conference time.
On Tuesday, March 6th, I will have a substitute teacher in class while I conduct 1:1 Reading tests on each 2nd grader. Attendance and good rest, nutrition, and attitudes are highly encouraged! Thank you for your support!
I have 3 families yet to schedule a conference with me and your student! Click on the designated link below. Please email me if you need assistance in any way. Thanks to all who have already booked their conferences!
Polar Bear March: Get your kids walking for the Polar Bear March! Students are encouraged to walk, bike or scoot to school every morning and afternoon during the month of March. Every time they scan their card they earn points for their class.
Parent Teacher Conference: Parent-Student-Teacher conferences will be held March 12th – 16th. Click HERE to sign up for your student’s conference. Click HERE for instructions on how to sign up. We look forward to having 100% of our families attending a 2nd trimester conference. Remember, March 12th – 17th will be early dismissal for all grades to allow for time to meet with each of our families.
BASE is Open Conference Week: All grades have early dismissal for the week of conferences, March 12th – 16th. Kindergarten will dismiss at 1:00pm and 1st – 8th grade will dismiss at 1:30pm. BASE will be open all week until 6:00pm.
That's all for now! It's back to grading tests for me!
Have a great weekend and week!
