It was a busy week of NWEA tests, science experiments, and writing! We have one more NWEA test (Math) to go! It will be on Tuesday at 10:30 am after morning snack. It would be helpful to pack a healthy one on this day! I am so proud of the 2nd graders' perseverance and effort! Thanks for your support!
Thank you also to Mykah's and Raelanna's families for their donations to our Science experiments! We were able to conduct our Erosion experiment, plant our bean plants, and share materials with other 2nd graders. We appreciate your generosity!
Curriculum Highlights:
* NWEA - We completed our NWEA Language and Reading Tests!
* ELA - We continue to practice our OREO Opinion Writing and will be tested on it soon. I hope to start a poetry unit next week. We started reading "Stuart Little" by E.B. White as a class read aloud.
* Math - We continue to learn about geometry and its vocabulary as well as a review of past Math concepts such as money and time.
* Science - We learned about the Scientific Method of writing and conducted an erosion experiment! We also planted our bean seeds in preparation of a botany experiment.
